New compaction equipment

5 August 2011 - Wicks commissioned the construction of two compaction hammers. These hammers are especially designed for ground compaction and are build at Van den Heuvel in Werkendam, the Netherlands. 

The machines consist of a Hitachi ZX470 crane and a large rig with a hammer. With this equipment we will be able to serve the markets of soil compaction in soil with intermediate depths up to 8 m.

In September 2011 the compaction hammers will start working at the DAS Island project in Abu Dhabi. Das Island is an important hub for the export of oil and gas.
